Where Acting and Improv Meet Cute!
Class dates and times: Saturdays for 6 weeks, beginning August 29th to October 3rd from 2pm – 5pm in the Studio Space.
Join veteran performer and instructor Denny Siegel (Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, MVP @ Montreal Comedy Festival) for an improv class that encourages freedom, play, and authentic connection.
About the Class
This course focuses on scene work grounded in authenticity, relationships, and genuine emotion. Improv pro Denny Siegel will gently guide you out of your comfort zone and into deeper work, where world-building and humor spring from a place of emotional truth.
Deepen Your Craft: Learn to make strong, grounded choices that elevate long- and short-form improv, scripted work, audition adjustments, and on-set performances.
Essential Skills: Cultivate core tools like acceptance, active listening, collaboration, and vulnerability—skills that enrich both your creative work and real-life interactions.
Curriculum Highlights
The class reinforces the fundamentals of improv through fun games and rich scene work. Skills covered during the course include:
Embracing spontaneity and making bold choices.
Expressing authentic emotions through the lens of comedy.
Choosing high emotional stakes and detailed specifics.
