Scene Study Workshop

$20.00

Instructor: Ru Kazi

Begins Sunday, September 21st at 3pm

Scene Study Live is a dynamic acting workshop designed to give performers the best of both worlds: the intimacy of in-class coaching and the excitement of a live performance. Unlike traditional scene study classes that stop at rehearsal, this format places actors directly in front of an audience to continue learning in real time.

How It Works

Part One – In the Room
Actors begin the workshop by working closely with the instructor on prepared or assigned scenes. This portion focuses on exploring character choices, deepening emotional truth, and strengthening connections with scene partners. The instructor provides coaching and adjustments, allowing actors to experiment safely and stretch their craft.

Part Two – On Stage
In the second half of class, actors perform their scenes in front of a live audience. Immediately following the performance, the instructor provides live notes — real-time feedback that helps performers discover new choices and refine their work on the spot. The audience also gains insight into the process, making this a collaborative and educational experience for everyone in the room.

Why Scene Study Live?

  • Train Under Pressure – Transition smoothly from rehearsal to performance.

  • Sharpen Your Instincts – Learn to make bold, immediate choices while under the lights.

  • Gain Confidence – Build resilience by receiving notes in front of peers and an audience.

  • See the Process – Experience how scenes evolve in real time with direct guidance.

This workshop is perfect for actors who want to grow their stage presence, deepen their scene work, and develop the confidence to adjust quickly in front of an audience.

What to Expect

  • A supportive environment that celebrates risk-taking.

  • Constructive, actionable feedback from the instructor.

  • Opportunities to both perform and learn by watching others.

  • A format that bridges classroom learning with real-world performance.

Scene Study Live is more than a class — it’s an event where growth, creativity, and performance come together in front of a live audience.
